Functional Assessments

We know everyone is individual and has their own unique needs, so we spend time to get to know you and conduct a complete Functional Assessment. We then outline your Occupational Therapy needs in a personalised report. These reports can be used to support you with plan reviews, Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) applications and with home modification and assistive technology applications.

Home Modifications

We need to make sure that your home environment is set up to support your unique needs, which will ensure you maintain your independence and safety. We conduct a home assessment to determine how you are able to access and function within your home environment. We work with builders to ensure all recommended modifications are structurally possible. Home modifications can range from a simple grab rail beside the toilet to a major bathroom modification.

Assistive Technology

We are here to help you find Assistive Technology that will allow you to be more independent and safe in your daily life. This equipment can range from simple shower chairs, to wheelchairs with complex seating. We work with suppliers so that you can trial the equipment in your home to ensure we get what is right for you.

Children’s Occupational Therapy Service

We complete occupational therapy assessment and therapy sessions for children in our clinic. We use a family centered approach where we work with each family to identify and achieve each child’s functional goals. We see children from birth to 17 years of age.
